In order to commemorate the "May 12" Wenchuan earthquake and popularize the knowledge of earthquake prevention and popular science, Zhuhai Enyi School conducted an earthquake disaster prevention drill at 10 am on October 25, 2017.
At 10:00 a.m. on the same day, as the emergency alarm sounded in the campus, all teachers and students quickly put into the earthquake prevention and disaster reduction evacuation drill activities. The students hurried under the teacher's command to duck under their desks. When the alarm sounded again, the students ran to the playground quickly and orderly under the guidance of the teacher according to the prescribed route. It only took more than one thousand teachers and students two minutes to evacuate from the five-story-high teaching building. In the process, the students obeyed the command, acted in a unified and orderly way, and there was no crowding and stampede. The purpose of this drill is to improve the teachers and students' awareness of safety prevention and the ability of self-rescue and self-protection in the face of earthquake and fire emergency, and also to test the school's ability to deal with emergencies and organize large-scale evacuation activities, and accumulate emergency evacuation experience for the school.
Students' safety education has been the focus of school work, the school in line with the "safety first, prevention first, comprehensive treatment" policy, "full participation, full management, comprehensive investigation, all rectification" principle, timely discovery of safety risks and thorough remediation, for school safety work to create a good environment.
